When we founded Arcee AI in late 2023, we had one goal: to make world-class small language models (SLMs) available to companies across all industries.

This vision was based on our firm belief that only SLMs could offer the domain-specificity, efficiency, scalability, and security that enterprises need for generative AI.

We were certain that where large language models (LLMs) fall short, SLMs would thrive–and we’re happy to say that the market agrees with us: SLMs, not LLMs, are the future of enterprise AI.

Now, our flagship product, Arcee Orchestra, takes SLMs to their full potential: leveraging them to work together in an easy-to-use platform for implementing custom agentic AI workflows. Our Story

Arcee.AI emerged from the brainstorming of three co-founders–Mark McQuade, Jacob Solawetz, & Brian Benedict–who envisioned a solution that would allow companies to use small language models to transform how they do business, bringing diverse teams across all industries to new levels of efficiency and productivity, while still retaining full control over their data and models. It was a vision based on deep knowledge of both the technical and business aspects of AI and machine learning, which they had gained via leading roles in companies including Hugging Face, Roboflow, and Tecton.
